This product suffers from the great electronics catch-22. My Elite Pro 2 shell was basically disintegrating. Plastic bits are falling inside and outside the controller, getting stuck under the triggers, and locking things up. I didn't want to spend another 250 bucks on a new one, so I looked at shell replacements. I ordered the black and red front shell, and the red back shell, and man is it sexy and it's sturdy and all of that seems to have corrected some of the seemingly unrelated issues the controller had as well (failing bumpers). That being said, I wanted to make it last. So now my controller is super sexy, but I put this cover over it and can no longer admire it lol. That being said, the material for this cover is good. It covers up the beauty of the new shells, but isn't bad looking in its own right. The grips look and feel on inspection like they would be annoying, but are actually comfortable while you're playing. It adds a bit of bulk and heft to an already hefty feeling controller, but you get used to it. It actually reminds me of some of the old heftier 3rd party controllers in the N64 era, but after a few rounds of gaming you get used to it, and forget its there. It's tough to say "get this" if you're going through the trouble of getting a nice looking shell for your controller, but, if you want to get maybe a year or two more out of your nice new controller shell, I would say go for it.
